Dr. Raymond Kwok

Dr. Kwok is a researcher with a training background in actuarial science, statistics and suicidology. He focused his research on epidemiology of self-harm, in particular the estimation of underreporting in Hong Kong SAR, the pattern of repeated suicidal behaviour and temporal variation, during his PhD study at the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Kwok has publications in various international peer-reviewed journals not only on suicide and self-harm, but also on demography especially ageing issue. His current research primarily focuses on evidence-based suicide prevention strategies, employees’ compensation system in Hong Kong and population projection.
