About the Campaign

Elderly living in care and attention homes may feel particularly lonely during this extraordinary period where they cannot meet with their families due to the epidemic. Whereas innocent kids can always bring joy and laughter to the elderly. Thanks to the generous support from the Community Partner Foundation, the HKJC Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention, HKU, is organizing the “Cross-generational Love & Care” – Call for Short Video Clips campaign. By producing short clips, both children and parents are provided with the opportunity to show their respect, love and care, not only to their senior family members, but also to the community.

Participants can produce a 2-3-minute short video clip anywhere in any way for the theme of “cross-generational love & care”, to express their love and care to the elderly. These include, but do not limit to, talent showing, cooking, handicrafts, drawing, sharing, etc. Family members and pets can also be invited to take part in the video to share their love and positivity to the seniors.

All submissions that meet the eligibility will receive a Certificate of Participation. Submissions entering the final round and winners of the outstanding awards will receive a Certificate and fabulous souvenirs. They will also be invited to attend the Award Ceremony cum Sharing Session on 25 July 2020 (Saturday) to share their experience, as well as to visit the care homes.
