WeCare Fund for Student-Initiated Youth Suicide Prevention Projects

《與你同行》資助計劃-由學生主導的防止青年自殺計劃

WeCare Fund for Student-Initiated Youth Suicide Prevention Projects was set up in March 2016 in response to the upsurge of student suicide. Thanks for the kind donation of Mr. Lau Ming Wai and Ms. Beatrice Mok, 25 student initiated youth suicide prevention projects were successfully implemented in 2016-2019, all with a maximum grant of HK$50,000 per project. With the support of professional advisor of each team, the fund aims to encourage students to initiate, plan, organize and implement various mental health related workshops and activities for their peers to participate at their own campuses. Through these projects, we hope to nurture positive emotions and atmosphere at post-secondary campuses, and to enhance the awareness of mental health issues among the youths, the future of families and of the society of Hong Kong.

Two best practice award ceremonies had been taken place. Awarded projects were given additional funding to sustain and extend their projects.
